Help Identifying GXC 84M

I purchased a bunch of blanks at the Charlotte Show and have a couple that I'm having trouble identifying.

I'm currently building up a couple blanks identified as GXC84M and GXC78M, and think they're going to work really well for intended use. Don't recall who I got them from.

Can anyone shed any light on these two sets of blank numbers.

Thanks,

Stan

Probably obsolete Lamiglas blanks. Contact Todd Vivian at Lamiglas.

GX most likely is the manufacturer's model series, C stands for Casting, and the numbers are the length in inches. The M would indicate the action, or perhaps the power, one or the other. Flex the blanks and see where they initially flex. If you have fast action blanks, then the M is probably referring to the manufacturer's relative power scale, for Medium Power. If they flex down through the mid area, then the M may indicate a Medium Action.

Could be a color change to a Lamiglas Certified Pro blank. Could be clear coated vs the brown or something. I have a few backroom blanks that have numbers and colors that are not in the catalog. If it's a XC 84 M, it makes a nice jig rod for LM bass.

Thanks, folks, for the help & guidance.

It is a discontinued Lamiglas blank of root beer color. Test casting indicates a nice rod. Haven't CC'd it yet.
