From what I can tell reading the old posts, today the 15th of June, is the birthday of the Rodbuilding.org website. So just wanted to say happy birthday to the best rod building website around and thank everyone for all the great information shared here during the past 4 years. I have learned a lot.

Have learned a lot myself. With me bing military and in the states and my wife in Japan, and not being from Florida but just stationed here, combined with the nature of my job and only working with two people at a time, means I don't know many people here. I think I talk more on these forums than I do with anyone outside of work. Pretty sad, huh?

At any rate, have learned way more here over the years than any one person should be allowed to!

Interesting. I can remember when word on the street was that Rodmaker mag wouldn\'t make it, couldn\'t make it, would run out of topics in no time at all. It then quickly became the dominant rod building magazine for custom builders and has only gotten better each year since. Same with this site. An upstart, newbie, couldn\'t make it, would take forever to draw an audience. But it quickly became the premier website for custom rod builders and continues to lead the pack.

When a really good and unique custom rod building technique hits the street, chances are it came from either Rodmaker or this site. Both are the best sources for rod building information in the history of custom rod building and I\'ve been around long enough to know! Happy birthday and I wish you many more!
