Woo-hooo! The new RX7+ and RX8+ blanks are partially in stock at Batson Ent. now with the balance expected next week. Needless to say, we'll have them in stock and available as quickly as possible!

I really don't want to sound like a sales-pitch, but we had the opportunity to try out a number of these models last fall and they were truly incredible. I've said a few times here and elsewhere that the new RX8+ is one of the finest performance sticks I've ever had the joy to cast. They're not as cheaply-priced as their predecessors, but every bit the value in my opinion. These blanks are WONDERFUL. At a large FF trade show we were exhibiting at this spring, one of the West Coast's premier saltwater fly fishers dropped by our booth and took the 908-4 for a spin...watching the resulting casting was rather staggering, but his feedback said it all...he owns all the best of the best (you know all the names/models) and handed me the rod back and said, "I'd put this alongside or above every single 8wt I've ever owned or cast".

Batson calls them a "fast rod with feel". Seeing as how every one I CC'd came in with AA's over 69, "Fast action" is certainly accurate. But nothing prepares you for the phenomenal smoothness and fullness in the casting stroke. It "feels" more like a fine presentation stick...and it is...but it's got the smooth power to be much more as well.

Anyway, just had to let you know...if you build performance fly rods, you owe it to yourself to put these blanks on the to-do list.
