more questions on finishes

as all can tell i am new to this so i will have many questions
(1) if i use color preserver and it seals my wraps does the epoxy still soak into the threads or does it just sit on top of the threads? THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP WITH MY QUESTIONS THIS BOARD IS AWESOME THE PEOPLE HERE ARE GREAT Re: more questions on finishes

Color Preserver will seal the threads and prevent the epoxy from soaking into the thread, and prevent the epoxy from changing the thread color. Re: more questions on finishes

You do not need the epoxy to soak into the threads. It is meant to encapsulate the thread and serves its purpose as long as it can do that. Make sure you extend your epoxy just past each edge of the wrap to prevent moisture from getting to the thread.
