Help!
I want to use some cork sealer on some of the "exotic" cork I bought at the rodbuilders show. I have searched Merrick, Mudhole, and Custom Tackle with no results. Someone please tell me where I can get some cork sealer. Thank you, Rick Re: Cork Sealer

Trondak U-40 cork sealer is very good and they are a sponsor of this site. Mudhole sells it and here is the link to it on their website: [shop.mudhole.com] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/30/2005 11:22AM by Bob Crook. Re: Cork Sealer

Go to a gun shop or a Wallmart and get some True Oil Gun Stock Treatment. Rub on a couple of coats with your finger and let dry. Will darken the cork - seal the cork and works quite well. This is an acceptable substitute for the cork seal unless you are doing flocking of the grip. If you are flocking I would wait until you get some of the U40 Cork Seal that is made by Ralph Oquinn the Legend.

Fish slime works best. Honestly. There's nothing like the feel of natural cork. Why seal it? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
