thanks phil i wanna build one of these for the boy already got a 12 guage butt cap ready with a green and black grain grip hmmmm or even the new camo grips would be sweet thanks for the info R. crabtree

Yeppers, my wife had already told me that she wants a rod with the camo grips, so I may surprise her and build it on a camo blank. 12 Guage butt cap sounds cool. Did you make it yourself out of the brass?

what i did instead of using the whole thing i cut it off right at the rim were your gun grabs to eject the shell with a dremal took a regular butt cap drilled a center hole used the primer in the cap pushed it through and epoxy was used to keep it in there the shell cap is the same exact size as the butt cap ill send you a picture......what im going to do is buff it out a coat it with something so it wont dull

I have made several camo theme rods with shotgun shell butt caps. I just posted a pix of one I finished yesterday
