titanium colored cap and ring seats anywhere?

i was just wondering if anyone knew of a source for cap and ring fly reel seats in the titanium/gunsmoke coloring. i like black aluminum, and n/s seats, but i also like titanium colored guides on a fly rod and was hoping i could match all hardware. i guess i could conceivably "blacken" a nickle-silver seat lightly. anybody try this? thanks!

Eric,

REC has them in what they call "Pewter"...I believe this is the same color you are looking for. If you go top their online store and click the style you want it will prompt with a pull down menu for "color" almost everything they have is in 3 colors black, silver(nickel), pewter.

Also I think Golden witch might have them but not sure on that.

You can blue nickel silver. Check with Jeff Fultz.

I actually removed a Struble D2 seat with black hardware(at least I think it was black unless from a custom rod I bought a little while ago as it was too small for my reels and I wanted a different look for this rod.I covered the seat with a heavy ziplock bag and then boiled the end of the rod till it slipped off(didn't take too long to loosen the epoxy and did not damage to the blank).

I thought the seat would have to be tossed, but I managed to sand and re finish the teakwood insert with about a dozen coats of Tru Oil(looks much nicer than the original wood did even before puting it in boiling water,LOL).The black hardware had dulled quite a bit,so I decided to polish it with my nickel silver polish(I think it is called "Twighlight" or something, but I'm not sure). What I ended up getting was a really nice shiny gunmetal color that goes great with TiCH colored guides.

Blued nickel silver looks really nice too,but is definitely darker than most TiCH or titanium colored guides and winding checks.Goes great with black guides.I haven't tried polishing blued nickel silver before so I'm not sure how much it would change(I'm sure others know though).

Email me if you are interested in getting some titanium (not just titanium colored!) slide band seats. I just had a set of them prototyped and they are gorgeous.
