Q: Where do old rod building 'stuff' go?

Since we're trying to re-start rod building on a budget, thought I'd pick up some used tools. (Preferring to put the $ into top grade rod parts instead.) Reading many of your posts on rod wrappers, it seems that many of you are committed 'upgraders'. So I went on @#$%& to do a search on used manual rod wrappers. Zip. A glance at buy/sell here shows nothing too.

So, Q: Do you guys just keep your older tools after you upgrade, or is there a site that most would go to list such tools? Care to share?

Curious,

Thanks,
Mo

There is an article in the library on how to build your own wrapper for about $20.00. Just click on "LIBRARY" above on the right and you will see it.

If you will go to @#$%& and look under Rod Building you will find that several people make them and sell them there but you are not likely to get them any cheaper than some of the sponsors sell them and on @#$%& you are always taking some chance of getting a pig in a poke.

There is a buy and sell page on this site. Maybe some of it winds up there?

I have been watching for a used Forecast, AmTak, or PacBay power wrapper for several months now and still haven't seen one. I even put up a "Wanted" post a few weeks ago to no avail.

Seems like it's a pretty tough find.
