I usually act like a little kid when I get excited about something, so let me apologize for my behavior or lack thereof before hand!
I just got the reelseat / cork grip put together on the newly received Forecast Spey Rod that I ordered through H&H. Karry Batson was right on when he said this rod is nice and a great value. I was a little worried about the modulus and the characteristics of the rod, but once I got a chance to play around with this rod; they were short lived! This should turn out to be a great summer project for next years steelhead season. The cork butt grip, aluminum reelseat, and foregrip look sweet on the blue colored blank. A couple observations that I hope others would feel free to comment about: 1. The butt section of this rod was so stiff, I was unable to find a spine. It didn't have a noticable bend, so I glued up the grip and reelseat any which way. 2. The kit I received came with dark blue thread. I have HT metallic blue and Silver HT Metallic. The guides are double footer guides are in chrome; any ideas on how I should wrap this baby up? 3. I didn't get a guide spacing recommendation. Does anyone have it for this rod? Karry? Thanks, Domenic Federico Re: Forecast 11'6" 6/7WT 4PC Spey Rod

Another blank series that just became available was recommended to me by Andy Snedden, the Pac Bay Euro-Speys. A buddy of mine just built up the 14 ft 8/9 wt and it's a keeper. Re: Forecast 11'6" 6/7WT 4PC Spey Rod

Guide spacing is available on the H&H web site. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
