Hey guys. Thinking about getting an air compressor for flocking and painting blanks. I'm going to Japan for three years in January and won't be able to order Aerosol cans because they are hard to get shipped. Using Createx or the RC Car type paints and airbrushing them would be much easier to get the paints over there.
What would you recommend I get? I'm wanting to start flocking as well, so want one to do both jobs without breaking the bank. Phil Re: Air compressor for painting/flocking

Flocking has to be done at very low pressure. Keep that in mind. Also, you do not need an air compressor to flock grips. The $4.95 mini-flocker does a truly outstanding job applying the flock.

Lowes has a two gallon compressor that can hang on the wall for $99 Comes with a 50 foot coil air hose, and has a regulator to regulate the PSI out of the hose Re: Air compressor for painting/flocking

Grizzly has a mini compressor, but I don't remember the cost. I don't think it'll set you back too much. They also have a couple of air brushes you can check out too.

Grizzly has a small air brush compressor for around $50, but what makes far more sense, because it gives you more utility, is their 2.5 oil cooled compressor with 4 gallon tank. It's on sale for $119.95 plus freight. It has a regulator, so you can adjust your air pressure accordingly, and because of the tank, it's not running constantly. I use mine for air brushing, but also with a pneumatic nailer. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
