All,
A couple of threads recently addressed titanium guide heights compared to Fugi concept guides, and alignment of running guides with the tip top. My question relates to both of these concerns. I want to use the AmTak titanium guides in a concept set-up on a 7 1/2 ft salt water spinning rod. The question is what to use for the running guides. Stay with the single-foot A-frame guide style all the way, ending with NIV-6's for instance? And if I do this, which tip do I choose? Or should I change to the single-foot fly rod guides for the running guides -- the NIF-6 style? And if so, which tip to use with these? Are there advantages or disadvantages to either set-up? Thanks in advance. Bilgee Re: Titanium guides and concept set-up

I would use the lowest possible guides for the running guides. Less weight, line closer to the blank. Either will work and the difference would be very slight, but I'd stick with the lowest and lightest if it were me.
