I'm building a 7ft 1pc blank and the translucent gel coat has scratches on it, is there a friendly way to get rid of them??
Thanks Rich Re: scratches on rod blank

I usually start off with rubbing compound on all gloss blanks. I use Meguires super X. Usually gets rid of all the scratches that haven't penetrated the topcoat, or at least blends them a fair amount so they aren't that noticeable, and really puts a great shine on the blank. Beyond that, you are looking at recoating. Re: scratches on rod blank

If it came that way, call the supplier. They are all very helpful. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
