I am looking for flouresent thread, (day-glo), where can I find? I am looking primarily for BLUE, but am interested in all colors out htere. Years ago I got some yellow that I used for tip-tops, but the place I got it is long gone. Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

I think Merrick Tackle sells that, but don't know what colors. Dan Craft and Summer Moon can get it for you if Merrick has what you want. Re: Flouresent wrapping thread

Madeira Polyneon thread colors can be had at your closest quality fabric store. My store had 6 - 8 different colored spools of neon thread. Re: Flouresent wrapping thread

HI,
You might try going to a fly fishing shop and looking at threads that are used to tie salmon flies, those guys have some nice colors that truly light up and cannot be missed. Re: Flouresent wrapping thread

I don't think the colors will hold up..unless something has changed in the last 20 years.Dave Bella did a rod with flo. colors & after 6 months the top of he rod had bleached right out. I dunno if the finishes nowadays would protect it ... I doubt it..I know perma gloss won't.
try some tests before building that -perfect rod.... Re: Flouresent wrapping thread

If the finish is clear, then it cannot protect the thread.
