I'm no expert but I love LS Supreme high build. I build mostly fly rods and freshwater cast and spin rods and even though this is a high build finish I can get a beautiful low build finish with it. And in just one coat. Best stuff I've ever used.

LS Supreme in either regular or high build. Truly as good as it gets, IMO!

I use flex coat lite. It goes on easy and looks really nice.

Flex Coat is good. Glass Coat is better. LSSupreme higher build may be better even still. Those are three I would consider. Have tried many but those are best for me.

Another vote for Glass Coat or LS Supreme in the hi-build version. But you know when you come down to it, Flex Coat is still tough to beat all around. You can't go wrong with it.

Does Flex Coat still yellow??

All epoxy finishes yellow or amber to some degree. Some more than others. LS Supreme is probably the most clear but even it will take on a very mellow amber tone. Normally this sort of thing isn't going to be noticed unless you're working with very light colored thread. White for sure, the others not so noticeable. Put Flex Coat on any of the standard green, blue, charcoal, etc., and you'll never notice any yellowing.

I have noticed that Flex Coat yellows more then others. That is why I use Glass Coat. I use flex coat to make my colored rings out of. Plus I'm cheap and the thick Glass Coat goes a long way

Like LS Also a very big fan of Epoxy Coatings 1 Coat (from Bingham) It is by far the easiest/best leveling "idiot" proof one out there
