I am going to build a 7wt fly rod and have recently built one with a blank I purchased from Schneider's Rod shop. I was very happy with the Tiger Eye blank I used the first go around and think I am going to go with another one. I noticed they make a "Saltwater" 7wt as well as the "normal" 7 wt blank....does anyone know what the difference is? Is the action different?
Also this is my 3 Rod and Ron at Schneider has been great to work with...I highly recommend them to anyone! Re: "Tiger-Eye" Salt water Vs. Regular fly rod blank

The saltwater Tiger Eye is alot stiffer or faster action. The butt section on the saltwater blank is bigger diameter than the regular Tiger Eye. I have been selling these blanks to alot of my customers that are looking for a faster action as apposed to the moderate fast action the regular Tiger I gives.
