Hi all,
I have just seen something I haven't seen before and thought I would ask. On the picture page there is a picture posted of a fishing rod with a wild looking grip. In looking at the picture it looks as though the reel will be behind the area held by the fisherman or is this a spinning rig? Could someone clue me in, Wylie Tight wraps and lines, Wylie Re: Zeta 3?

The photo should have a name on it? If not it may be deleted? Re: Zeta 3?

Sorry Bill,
Tom Kirkman has just explained the grip to me that I was mentioning and explained that there is a new picture hosting web site as well. This picture would be on the old web site hosted by Mudhole if I am correct. The picture was post by coffarolo and is titled 30_50_zeta_3. I just haven't seen them as of yet and they look very different. Thank guys Tight wraps and lines, Wylie Re: Zeta 3?

Now I remember. I have seen that before. Think it costs a bit? I mean gee is it a fishing rod handle ?? That's like the line though the blank thing. Has any one tried it ?? Looks funky Re: Zeta 3?

I guess that would make things a little easier Billy.
Here it is [www.fishingphotos.net] Tom did mention that the reel does sit behind the fishermans hand, maybe that's why the first guide is so close. I do remember seeing something similar for spinning rods but this looks to be a conventional by the size of the first guide. I'd call it a U.F.0. Unidentified Fishing Object. :) Tight wraps and lines, Wylie Re: Zeta 3?

I've seen it before, it is supposed to ease the strain on your hand(forearm) when fighting fish. it was on a boat rod used for offshore trolling only. The reel does sit behind your hand, but just like a conventional boat rod. Imagine when you have a fish on and you put your hand on the pole for leverage. Same thing here only your hand is inline with your wrist/ forearm (with the z handle). Never tried it so I couldn't tell you how effective it is (if any).

Hi Jason,
I did start to think about the way the grip is designed and it does look like a good idea to me although the line passing over my hand would take some time in getting used to. I fear line cuts. Tight wraps and lines, Wylie Re: Zeta 3?
