Attaching EVA grip

Hello, I would like to know before I get started. Is it reasonable to think I can push an EVA grip with a 3/4 opening over a blank that is 1" in diameter? Using Rod Bond as the adhesive. Thanks in advance for your help. Scott

No problem, whatsoever. FOllow the steps in teh Library above, & you'll have very few problems. Make sure hte inside of teh grip is fully lubed.

Scott,
You should not have any problem sliding an EVA grip with an ID of 3/4" over a blank that has an OD of 1". Be sure to follow Billy's advice and lub both the inside of the EVA and the blank well with the epoxy. Do this by applying the epoxy on the blank to well above where the EVA first touches the blank when you slide it on.
There is an alternate method that I think is even easier and not as messy and that is to put a layer of the double backed sticky tape that is used to install golf club grips on the blank and slide the EVA on over it. You will be able to push it on easily with one hand and it will not come loose. The tape is available at most places that do golf club repair and most golf pro shops.
