Hank, I just checked doc's conversion table, same as gudebrod gunmetal, the sooner you get away from his use of Holland and switch to other threads the better you'll be. I gave up several years ago trying to find all those holland threads, sold them, and use my own color combos now.

Thanks all for the help.

Jim - Doc emailed me the pattern this morning. As you know he was getting ready for his trip and I did not want to bother him again. The Pattern is of a Striper. Colors he has listed is 602 Gudebrod which I can't find any listing for, 1011 Plain Gudebrod (Gunmetal), 2441 NCP Holland & 002 NCP Gudebrod. Looking at the weave I kind of thought 2441 Holland might have been some shade of blue gray to blend with the gunmetal. Do you know 602 Gudebrod is? Maybe that's on his conversion table.

Thanks Dave I will check it ok.

Again thanks guys for the help.

I just recently bought several 100yd. spools of Gudebrod 602 in size A at a local fly fishing shop. I think there were 1 or 2 spools left on the rack. It is a different shade of "gray" - with a very subtle brown tint to it. 602 is not in any recent Gudebrod catalogs or rodbuilding supply catalogs. They must not be making it anymore (that's why I bought it). I could swing by and grab it for you if you can't find it anywhere else. E-mail me if you need help.

Rog
