loose ferrule on stripped blank.

I stripped the finish off a blank in a retrofit project and discovered that the male ferrule is now slightly undersized. I plan to recoat only the male section that fits into the ferrule. What is my best bet, Permagloss, Gudebrod 840, other suggestions?

I would say permagloss. It dries as hard as a rock

Either use the Permagloss or just trim a hair off the end of the female ferrule. That will let the butt slide a bit further up inside the tip and the fit will be restored.

Now if this is one of those el cheapo rods where the tip actually fits down inside the butt then all bets are off.

permagloss.is your best bet. I always mark whare the female end stops on the male end and just refinish about 1/4 inch above that mark.
Good Wraps Bob
