I have built on several blanks that have the mfg. logo on them. I would like to put my own logo over the top of the existing one but am unsure whether to sand thru the finish to remove(which would probably damage the final look of the rod) or possibly wrap over it with a pastel silk thread? I would like to keep the blank color thru the logo. All comments are appreciated. Re: Covering logos on rod Blanks

Wrap thread over the logo with NCP or dark nylon thread, and apply your decal. Some thread will go translucent on you allowing the decal to show through. Pastel silk may be one of those threads.

Or add pigment to some epoxy and 'paint' over the logo...add your decal over top of that & clear.

A little paint thinner & a soft rag will remove a paint logo very easy. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
