I'm currently working on a lamiglass honey colored fly rod, which has spigot ferrules. Do I need to wrap both the male and female ends of the ferrules or just the female end?
Thanks, Joe Re: Spigot ferrules

They're both essentially female ends, just one's glued and one isn't. Wrap them both. Re: Spigot ferrules

I remember a post awhile back from Todd Vivian from Lamiglas saying to wrap both. If we are talking the same ferrules. I would email Todd with this ? He will be more than glad to answer. Re: Spigot ferrules

Wrap both, Clyde is correct - they're both female openings but with a spigot glued into one. Both are subject to split-outs if they're not reinforced.
