I have a chesnut colored blank (i.e. reddish brown) that I hope to wrap either Friday or Saturday but I am having a @#$%& of a time coming up with a color scheme. I thought about using a yellow/orange 30wt Rayon without color preserver for the tranparent thread effect.....Will be my first attempt.....But I hesitate.
Suggestions? Comments? NO PUTTER......No Purple Metallic....LOL Re: Thread Color Selection Advise Needed

Gudebrod Rust, no CP will give you a dark reddish brown that should blend well. Don't let the bright orange color on the spool fool you. Add gold metallic trim. Or dark green, no CP, gold trim. Re: Thread Color Selection Advise Needed

I would try a contrast (Doug lists a good one) and a blend of yours or the others here. Put them on in the butt area where it'll be covered and then make your decision. And no, Derek, purple ain't da thread of choice on this blank!! Great on black or white blanks, though ;) Putter Williston, ND Re: Thread Color Selection Advise Needed

I am very tempted to just take the rod into the sewing store where I get my thread and just start looking at colors. It may be worth all of the funny looks I would get (Iget plenty for being in there already) because a couple of the ladies that work there are pretty cute ;-}
