I have used rings made from Flexi-Foam as trim rings between burl cork. You can get sheets of this foam at Wal-Mart or at Michaels. It is the same foam that I use for tying gurglers. Be sure to use contact cement or Pliobond to glue the foam disks to the cork. Check this site: www.fibrecraft.com. I looked for gasket material in different colors at autopart stores in my area but couldn't find any so I started using the foam. As soon as I finish one rod that I am working on I will post a picture. I am thinking of all sorts of possibilities using form rings and some of Andy Dear's burl cork...like red rings and copano burl. Cheers, Ellis Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
