Just recieved an order from shoff. I ordered a struble ultra fine inletted for a u20 seat. The trouble was the inletting job was crooked. Where the real seat hood butts up it's way off. It looks ok when the blank and everything is mounted but the front part of the hood will only be touching on one side of the inlett. Also when you stand the grip upright on the table it leans. I think trying to fix it would be nuts. I also ordered a rx7 rainshadow and was wondering why they put the decal, already mounted, right where the real seat will be glued? Thats about the last way to advertise the blank. I had to peel it off and trash it. Any thoughts? Tom. Re: Shoff Tackle Order

I am not positive about this but my St Croix SCIII Rod Blank came with a sticker on it where the reel handle goes then it came with another sticker to put higher up on the rod. Are you sure there isn't another sticker in the package? Re: Shoff Tackle Order

I would think that your best bet would be to contact Shoff and see what they can do for you.
Many blank manufacturers put the labels/stickers in a poor location but that's due to the myriad of handle possibilities that might be used on any blank. I always liked those blanks that had the decals in the bad and allowed you to place them after the rod was built. But with so many counterfeit blanks and related problems these days, most companies prefer to adhere the lables to the blanks and really don't want loose decals and stickers floating around out there. ......... It souds like your grip wasn't squared befor they popped it off the mandrel. I'm thinking some careful work with sandpaper should at least square the end? This still doesn't solve your problem of the hole being off. Contact Shoff before you do anything.

I'm sure they'll make good on a replacement grip but I think it's another reason to stick with the companies that sponsor this site. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
