multipiece spin casting blanks (relatively inexpensive) questions

I am trying to find a source for light to medium action spin casting blanks in 2, 3 or 4 pieces 6 to 7 ft long in the sub $50 price range. I find it surprising that there is a large selection of single piece 6 to 7 footers (who would want to lug that around!?) but really few multi pice blanks.
One question I have is regarding the practicality of creating a multipiece blank out of one of these single piece blank. What would one use for ferrules and is this a reasonable approach? regards, Michael Re: multipiece spin casting blanks (relatively inexpensive) questions

Hi Michael
check the Batson rods, they have a few multiple pc blanks in your requested length, I just had some meetings today to produce more multiple pc rods and they will be coming this years. Mark Crouse The Munich rod man Re: multipiece spin casting blanks (relatively inexpensive) questions

I agree regarding the limited choices in 2 piece rods and have been meaning to ask the same question. Why is there a bias toward 1 piece rods? Many times I would be unable to carry a 1 piece - it would not fit in my car... Re: multipiece spin casting blanks (relatively inexpensive) questions

Michael,
Try the Forecast 4 pc fly blanks. Use the 9' 6 wt 4 pc and drop the butt section for a nice 6'9" 3 pc trout spinning rod. Perfect for throwing a single split shot and a wax worm in medium streams or a 1/8 oz spinner. I keep mine in the car with a small pack of 'goodies'. Also, try the 7 and 8 wt for a little more power. Also, for a shorter and a little heavier rod the 9' 7 wt 3 pc (drop butt) works as a nice little jig rod for bass. Thanks, Rick Re: multipiece spin casting blanks (relatively inexpensive) questions

Batson's new travel rods are pretty damn good rods. My RX6 4 pce SB720-4 arrived today, and it's arrow straight, well finished, has very snug ferrules, is light and suits my needs perfectly. They do newer travel models in RX6 and RX7. I'm impressed so far. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
