All,
I've traded some email with the above company since Tom said they were legit. They do offer common size grips and cork rings in smaller quantities. Standard shaped fly grips in quantities of 20 and up, cork rings in quantities of 100 and up. Price breaks for larger quantities of grips and the same price for cork rings, any quantity. They will make custom shapes but charge a set-up fee and require a larger minimum quantity for these. Transportation costs will vary. I'm sure these folks aren't for everyone. Depending on what the pricing is, and shipping costs, I may make buy a batch of rings. I sort of expect that the pricing may be better, but shipping costs higher and lead times will be long. Overall, probably not much advantage unless you are buying a ton of rings or grips in production quantities. Terry Re: More on Portugese Cork Company

In addition to the factors mentioned above, there's the question of quality, including consistency of quality, and return privileges. I'm staying with Bob at Custom Tackle for my cork. Re: More on Portugese Cork Company

Again, they are not trying to sell to individual rod builders. They are a mega supplier/jobber looking to sell to Mud Hole, Anglers Workshop, large rod manufacturers, etc.
