GL3 GLoomis rod - Does this sound right to you?

I purchased a GLoomis GL3 4wt 7'6" two-piece blank about 6 months ago. It is matte blank finish. I notice that it is the same finish as the GL3 retail rods. However, their blanks are a mahogany finish. Does this sound right to you? The measurements of my blank correspond precisely to those on the GLoomis website, it's just the difference in finish I'm curious about. Perhaps mine is an older blank...

(By the way, I emailed GLoomis about 4-5 days ago and haven't gotten a reply. I wonder if they are not focused on their rodbuilding/blank end of things anymore. They seem to have shifted away from this area...)

Yes that's right. The older GL3 blanks were the color of your older rod. The new GL3 blanks are mahogany in color.

Thanks for the replies, guys. That makes me feel better, I'm certain it's a Loomis. I got it at the bargain cave in Cabelas in East Grand Forks, in it's original packaging - guess it was returned by a customer who expected a mahogony blank. It turned out really nice using Gudebrod scarlet colour thread and no CP.
