backwards weave

I just made a weave that I like but didnt notice ive been working with the picture facing the wrong way. I did a test wrap trying to work from the bottom of my left list up. this came out allright but i made several mistakes and it was difficult to follow. My question is if I just turn the rod around and work from tip to but instead of but to tip what type of problems will I run into? The handle is allready on the rod and it is a but wrapabout 5 inches from the handle. I will redo the left list in the future I just was wondering if this would be a solution

Hi Jim - I do all my weaving with the tip to my left and the butt to the right. If you hold the pattern in your hand and it looks right and upright then that is how it will look on the rod. Which way do you want the fish to be traveling? Drop me an email and I will try to help as much as possible. It is harder to work a left list backwards. docski377@aol.com

Will working backwards should come natural, you being one of those lily pad jumpers. Which weave pattern did you use?

For thoses of you that don't already know this guy calling himself Jim Dion is my son-in-law and my partner in our company On The Rocks Fishing / OnTheRocksFishing.com (this is not an ad as we do not sell rod building equipment/materials).

This is Jim's first post here so please give him the great RodBuilding.org howdy. He's a redneck born and bread, not the sharpest knife in the drawer and he proved that - he married my daughter and that came with a no return policy.

Anyways any one who can help with his weave question it would be greatly appreciated.

Depending if you are right handed or left handed is the wrap or weave correct. Remeember some read from right to left Also if some of you have read my posts in the past! I don't know which way to spell so I am always confussed::))

Howdy, fellow redneck!! Did Hank welcome you to the family properly by cutting your line on the first fish caught in his wild and wooly presence?

Jim
If you have a computer & a scanner or access to a scanner you can scan the image then rotate 180 degrees. My left list is always created in Lotus or Excell. It's fairly simple to use the "data fill" features to renumber, & "copy" to change top to bottom. I'll be more specific if your not a geek.
If you give me your E mail I will attach a Lotus fille example. I also plot my weaves on the Lotus grid, its faster & easy to read.
Hope this is'nt too confusing.
Gil
