Im looking for a 1 piece 7.6 heavy action blank and of coarse it needs to be the lightest available. Does anyone have a blank that you would suggest (even if it has to be cut ) that would work. Thanks, Mike Re: Flippin rod blank suggestions

Hi Thomas,
What line wt, lure wt. you looking for? Why are you wanting one piece as apposed to the blank that slides up into the handle ? Is it cause of the weight factor? Neal Cissel Neal's fishing Products neal@nealsfishingtackl.com Re: Flippin rod blank suggestions

The flippin rod: Check with your customer before you get a blank as to the length of the rod locker on his boat. That is usually the only reason that a bass fisherman wants a telescoping rod. If you can build on a one piece regular blank you will end up with a better rod. I have build a number of flippin sticks on the Rainshadow IMBs and none of them have come back as two piece as yet. Build it spiral wrapped if possible! These things take a lot of abuse and I would not build on a high modulus blank high dollar blank just to reduce weight.

I would take a look at the Shikari FS764. The blank is a great balance between weight a durability. This is the blank that Gary Kleins "prototype quantum" is built on.
