I came across some comments specific to the Dan Craft blanks (should have printed it because I can't find it again) talking about the CC system and double wrapping of the guides for warranty purposes.
Is this a standard for thin walled blanks? Is this done to provide a "cushion" for the guide foot? Re: high modulus guide wrapping

You may be talking about "underwrapping." It shouldn't be necessary and should certainly never be counted on as a substitute for poor guide prep (which is VERY important). I would suggest contacting Dan Craft for any specific instructions he may have for his own blanks.
