Well, that's way too large for anything you'd ever want to post on the internet (backlit screens don't require high resolution of tiff type files).
However, the ImageMajik software that is part of the package should auto reduce and convert files and sizes that aren't optimized for internet usage. I can't say why it didn't in your case. What I would do, is resize the image to no more than about 800 pixels wide, 72 dpi and make sure it's in jpeg of gif file format. Then try again and see what happens. ............... Thanks. That's the problem when I take pics at home - I have no editting software. I rely on teh site to automatically re-size. Some of them will, some won't. I think this one does, but the size of my file was a tad too big, I assume. Not a big deal.
Sorry about making you work on Easter, lol. Re: Photo Page Upload Error

I had to work anyway and you bring up a good point - not everyone has image editing software.
In that case, I'd take my photos at a smaller size to begin with. Drop the number of pixels and dpi if you can. Use jpeg instead of tiff or RAW image type. Of course, while the lower resolution photos will still look great on the web, they'll leave a little to be desired when you print them out at home. Some guys take two shots of each item - one for use on the web and one for use on home printers. ............. Re: Photo Page Upload Error

Mick - Thanks. I have editting software at work, I usually e-mail back and forth, silly I know but I do not insall anything on my Home PC because of the hassle of Virus's.
What I was going to post was the entire Madeira color chart, which is why I treid to skate by and post at such a High Rez. I think if I reduce the pixels, teh colros will not be clear. I'll find out on Tuesday. Thanks fo rthe help. Re: Photo Page Upload Error

Anything over about 80dpi is wasted on a computer monitor. Low res images are fine on computer and I don't think you'll lose anything in regard to color. Re: Photo Page Upload Error

Billy,
If one wants to see the Madeira charts, go to Madeira website (Madeira.com). There are all the charts to view. That would save you all the work you plan to do with this. Sanford Re: Photo Page Upload Error

Billy,
I made an error. The website is Madeirausa.com. for those who want to look at the color charts. Sanford Re: Photo Page Upload Error

Billy,
I again erred. I checked the sites, and the site which has the loads of colors of Madeira threads is allstitch.net. Make sure you use net, not com. You will like the charts. Each color has it's own page. This time I am correct and apologize for not searching them again. It had been awhile. Sanford Re: Photo Page Upload Error

I'll check that out. Most of the thread sites have poor color charts, I have the actual chart photographed, which has been much more accurate than what I've seen. I have not looked at your site though, but I will. THanks. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
