I am just starting in the rod building craft. My first project is going to be a couple of walleye trolling rods. I have an 8' blank selected, but the problem is that it is one piece. I would like to convert this rod to a 2 piece to fit into the rod box of my boat. I have looked at ferrules and am a little leary of using them. This rod is going to be used to pull inline boards and cranks. What are your suggestions?? Thanks Re: Converting 1 piece to 2 piece rod????

Since you are just starting, find yourself a two piece blank. A lot easyer. After you do several check all articals and play with a cheap blank first.
There is good articals in back issues of Rodmaker mag. Check out the site on the left Re: Converting 1 piece to 2 piece rod????
