Admiration for Weavers

Well, I just finished my fourth attempt at weaving at Stonefly nymph pattern that Mark Crouse did for me. I posted a picture. It was done a piece of scrap rod so I didn't waste time finishing it. I have to say I have certainly have a new found admiration for people like Mark, Jim Kastorff, Jim Upton, Doc Ski and everyone else who can do this with a lot more finesse than I've managed so far. I figure by the time I've done about 20 of these maybe they'll be pretty good.

I feel honored to be included with those guys you mention although since Doc and Jim are so much older than Mark and I, they've obviously had more time to practice their craft.
You look like you're well on your way with the weave you posted, hang in there, practice does make perfect when it comes to weaving I've found.

Hey Jim that doesn't sound like the Doc I know, I'm only thirty eight and he sounds younger than me, but I'm just an old fart I suppose.

I'm envious of anybody who can weave also. All of the weaves are amazing. I was under the photo page just looking and I came across Sanford Hochman's dragon weave. I was astonished at what some of you guys can do with thread. Good job

Ken,
Thanks for singling me out, but all the credit goes to Doc Ski, Jim Upton and Mark Crouse. They set the bar, and if you have tons of patience, you can add your name to the list.
