Doug Moore's stand up rod

Doug Moore's new stand up rod on the photo page is one of the more radical looking rods I've ever seen. I don't build stand up rods but I can appreciate the work that this one took to do so well. Hat's off to Doug on a really 'different' look for that rod. Great job!

Thanks for the comments fella's, but the praise needs to go to the real masters/artists on this site! For which, without their willingness to help by sharing information and new techniques my abilities would still be in the dark ages. I fail to mention their names to save myself the embarrassment of forgetting someone, but after finding this site, my work and methods have improved far beyond what it was just a year ago and would have never entertained the idea of doing this as a business.

Seriously, thanks to all!

Regards......Doug@

Doug, I know the feeling. I still feel like I am catching up to the rest of rodbuilding world coming out of the dark ages myself. I learn something, however small it may be, every day in this place and it has made me a better rod builder. That said, you do excellent work all around and the praise is well deserved. I'm always impressed by your work. You build some fine stuff sir! Keep up the great work!
