Baston's new catalog does not have rx8 or rx8+ spinning and casting blanks, those graphites are only in flyrods. Unless I missed something, Rx7 is their highest modulus casting and spinning rods (there is one musky rx8 blanks though). Re: RX8, RX8+ Spinning Blanks

Jay--unfortunately Dean's correct. The RX7 and RX6 graphite makes fantistic spin/casting blanks, however. Re: RX8, RX8+ Spinning Blanks

Thats too bad, I remember seeing them a year or two ago, I think it was Schneiders that had them but Im not sure. Apparently they dont make em anymore. Anybody know a comparable blank in performance/price to the RX8 or RX8+?

Jay,
I would build on a IM700 spinning blank made by Lamiglas, Very nice blanks and very sensitive. Let me know what action and line and lure wt and I can tell you what one I would recommend. I got an e-mail back from Bob Batson himself, they will be reintroducing the RX8 next year. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
