Gold zirconia ring/black frame guides from Schneiders Rod Shop - Anyone use them?

I was looking at the Forecast black frame/blue ring guides today and was thinking just how nice the black frames would look with gold rings, especially on gloss black, matte black,or charcoal blanks. It dawned on me that I saw this look before, but couldn't remember where,so I started searching sponsors sites in search of them.I finally found them on Scheider's Rod Shop's website.

I was wondering if anyone has used these guides yet,and if so,what are your thoughts on them?

They are said to be made at the same factory as the Forecast guides, but are clearly not labelled as Forecast guides.I really like the look(on a black blank it would look as if the gold rings were kind of floating there off the blank),and the fact that all the styles I am interested in for flyrods are available, including single foot fly guides.

Just wondering if anyone else has "discovered" these and if anyone has been using them for any amount of time to get some feedback.

Tony,
Used a set on a Perigee PLB901MT live bait blank, my idea was I wanted a little gold color to go with the blank, but a set of guides that didn't distract you from the blank and wraps just as you mentioned. Spiral wrapped it using the fly guides. Have had them in fresh and saltwater with zero problems.

I guess about 6 years ago I picked up a set of the gold ring/black frame guides as they grabbed my attention to look good on a custom rod.
As soon as American Tackle made them available, these were a nice addition to our stocking for customers as a distributor for them. I've had them at least 2 years along with the black fram/blue ring zirconia. Very nice guides if you want the black fram instead of the tichrome.

Hi Tony--we've got them in UFrame because we brought them in for G&L FlyCraft for use with H&H DLC Standoff sf running guides--makes for a "blacked-out" rod. I have a pretty good selection in black frame, TiN ring dbl foots, and black frame, TiCh ring dble foots. If you're interested, I can look into the F frame sf fly running guides as well.

They are VERY striking in appearance, and are the same performers as the rest of the Forecast line-up.

All the best,
