Dear friends,
I asked about these rollers some weeks ago, just to know your opinion about them. I've just received a set of them and I'm beginning to find the first problems. First problem is that thread does not "slip" over the guides feet. Graphite finish is made very rough and it's finished like this for some reason. I imagin it's not to be scuffed, filed,... Is there any trick? Second problem is that guides near the tip are wider than the blank itself. Are they to be trimed, cutted,...? Let me know, because I like these guides but it's becoming more difficult than I thought! Best regards, Daniel Re: Wrapping AFTCO Lightweight roller guides

Daniel a year ago I was going to build a Rod targeting Dorado in the east Cape Mexico with the light weight Aftco guides. I was told from one supplier that you really need to have the guides to see what king of blank to purchsae. You almost would have to have all the componants in front of you. What you don't use you would return. From that info I did not pursue those particular guides. Not sure what else to say but I know the situation your in. Hope it works out and don't give up. Aloha Daniel;
I received a set of All American Roller Guides to do a spiral on a heavy trolling rod and I see they did some shaping and grinding on the feet. So if they were comfortable enough to do that at the factory. I say make them work, with an underwrap and a little grinding should work out. "A"thread will give you a little bigger food base.
