I just found a place that sells spray paints such as Krylon in a variety of onteresting colors, and some other brands and types, even for paintings for cars.
I also read this morning, here in the board, at least to topics on how to change color of a blank. I would like to know which KRYLON (type) do I have to buy to get better results in a fly rod and how to use it, which is the best way to start using this paints, since they were not originally designed for painting rods. I know there is a lot of information in the board & archives, but I am confused. Thanks for any input. Re: Krylon, spray paint, and some other brands!

I like this stuff [www.plasti-kote.com]
There are many ways people do it, your going to have to play Get a few scrap blanks and or pieces. Water break free surface then two " dust " coats, then clear. Nice metalics in this. Re: Krylon, spray paint, and some other brands!

So far I have use appliance epoxy spray paint, krylon for plastic, and standard rust-o-leum metallics as well as createx airbrush paints. There is LOTS of archival information on this subject and a little of it is mine.
I find myself leaning towards the use of an airbrush and airbrush paints because I tend to be too heavy handed with aerosol spray paints no matter how hard I try. Derek Re: Krylon, spray paint, and some other brands!
