Rapala Maximum Guide System (MGS)

Anbody heard of this? Is it pretty much the same a the Fuji concept or some other guide placement strategy? I saw them advertise the MGS for one of their rod lines, but haven't had a chance to inspect the rod personally...figured someone here has already done that for me! :-)

Different name on the same idea. None of them work worth a crap unless you know how to set it up. The factories just take some high frame V guides, slap them on the rod and call it the concept or MGS system. Big deal.

Unless they sell it with a matching reel and did it right in the first place it would probably be mediocre at best.

Even though they dont set them up correctly they still perform great as the idea of getting down to the smallest guide in a short distance is still there. It lightens the tip up a whole bunch. i spent alot of thim the past summer setting up many many different variations of guide location,size,# of guides,size of line. All in all they all casted pretty close to each other.
