too late for second coat?

I put the first coat of epoxy over my signature this past Thursday. Is it too late to put one more coat on?

Like Bill says, scuff it, many use Scotchbrite for that. I recall that you are new at this, so I'd better mention that you should protect the blank and/or reel seat (on both sides past where the finish is) with masking tape before you scuff, then remove the tape before you reapply the finish.

Thanks guys! Yes, I am new to this. I can't begin to tell you how much my buddy has taught me, how much I've learned from doing this first rod, and how much of a lifesaver this site has been. Rodbuilding.org has been great to me. Shortly, I will begin another project rod for my nephew and it's going to be 100 times nicer.

After a few rods, if you don't like this one, you can always rebuild it.
