I put the first coat of epoxy over my signature this past Thursday. Is it too late to put one more coat on? Re: too late for second coat?

Like Bill says, scuff it, many use Scotchbrite for that. I recall that you are new at this, so I'd better mention that you should protect the blank and/or reel seat (on both sides past where the finish is) with masking tape before you scuff, then remove the tape before you reapply the finish. Thanks guys! Yes, I am new to this. I can't begin to tell you how much my buddy has taught me, how much I've learned from doing this first rod, and how much of a lifesaver this site has been. Rodbuilding.org has been great to me. Shortly, I will begin another project rod for my nephew and it's going to be 100 times nicer. Re: too late for second coat?

After a few rods, if you don't like this one, you can always rebuild it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
