Guide finish issues

Hey all,
I recently decided to try Flexcoat lite, I was using LS supreme. I have been really happy with how easy the flexcoat seems to mix and how easy it is for me to apply the finish. However I noticed that my finish has been pulling toward the guide and away from the end of the thread on both sides of a double foot wrap. I am using the dame technique I was using with LS ( apply turning rod by hand and then turning the motor on once i am satisfied with the amount of finish on each wrap). With the LS I didnt seem to have this issue. Also my cure time seems to take about eight hours longer with the FC. Are this just things I will have to learn to work around, or can someone think of something I may be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Scott Sheets

I've found with both Flex Coat HB and Lite that if I put too much finish on a guide (too thick) that it pulls away from both ends of the guide wrap towards the center. I've had a football with thread bumps on the ends a few times, even. Try putting a bit less on, Scott.

thanks Putter, I'll give that a try tonight. I was trying to get enough on there to do it in one coat, i guess I should have gotten HB. I'll see what happens.

Thanks,
SCott

I've been able to get them (so far!) with one coat, but it's touch and go. I think if it was a longer guide wrap, it'd be difficult to get in one coat. Smaller single foots aren't much of a problem, though.
