St. Croix Matrix Fiberglass blanks

Anyone have any experience with these blanks? As far as glass goes, how do they stack up to Lamiglass for heavy duty freshwater live bait fishing? Or, let me put it this way, which blank manufacturer do you respect more, Lami or St. Cr? 7 foot fiberglass baitcasting w/ abu 6500.

It's not so much a matter of respecting one more than the other - both have played a large role in servicing custom rod builders for many, many years. Product wise it's not about which is better, they're both extremely good, but rather differences in styles or concepts.

I got to play around with some of the new St. Croix blanks and thought they were extremely nice. Very unique. I guess it all depends on exactly what you plan to do with them.

There are a lot of great glass blanks out there. I use more Lamiglas blanks because the factory is 30 minutes away, I've used their products for many years with great success, and customers ask for and are very comfortable with them in the Pacific NW.
That said, Seeker, St Croix, Forecast, and Calstar have also all been great blanks. With a little more information I'm sure suggestions on blanks from many suppliers would be posted.
