Hi All,
Can anybody tell me what are the best references (books, video's, magazines) available on rod weaving. And a follow-up question is what about weaving equipment, any suggestions? Thanks, Jim Re: Weaving

Doc Ski's video is excellent and seems to be what most people recommend. I hope to try out some weaving here in the very near future. I got some drawings for a weaving jig from Jim Upton.

Doc's video is supposed to be great waiting for mine, also bought a jig from Jim Kastorff contact him if you need one, also he sent me a ton of patterns with it, seems like a great guy. "Although my questions may seem simple to some, not asking them would make me simple." Re: Weaving

Hi Jim,
Like the others have said Doc Ski's video and Jim Jim Kastorff loom. Jim's email is SDrodblder@aol.com Doc's video is coming out in CD form and you might want to wait a week until Doc's back in his shop. He said he'd have more info in the CD when he back. Doc's email is Docski377@aol.com I just got into weaving myself and purchased Jim K's loom. I've done a few letters, a shark weave and a roosterfish weave. The link below shows the Roosterfish. Not to bad for 2nd weave. I goofed by using both "A" thread for wrap & weave and have to improve on packing my threads. I'll keep working till I get it right. It's a load of fun. What I really want to do is to get my weaving down so I can start to create my own patterns. [www.fishingphotos.net] Have fun Hank On The Rocks Fishing Wells, ME. Re: Weaving

The Wonder Weaver is the ultimate weaving tool, bar none. If you're serious about this type of threadwork, you owe it to yourself to take a hard look at this well made and exceptional tool It will allow you to do things that no other loom or jig possibly can.
RodMaker has featured two excellent articles on weaving by Jim Upton (who invented the Wonder Weaver). Check the back issue page on the magazine site for more info. ........... Re: Weaving

The Wonder Weaver is the Cadillac of looms , well worth the investment if your planning on doing alot of weaving. If your just getting started and don't want to lay out the big bucks ,you can get a loom and Doc's DVD directly from him, he just got a shipments of DVD's in last night. Re: Weaving
