I've been reading the board for a bout a year now & have gotten a lot of really good information from everyone & seen how skilled most are on this board I was curious if anyone has built their own wooden nets from scratch? If you have & are willing to direct me in the right direction as where to gather information (books, articles, videos, etc.) I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Tony Re: Laminated Wood Landing Nets?

I've got some plans and have built a few. Mail me off line and I'll get the article infomation and send to you to contact the magazine. My understanding is that any printed instructions are copyrighted and I don't want to infringe by sending you a copy of that article. Re: Laminated Wood Landing Nets?

For some woods you MAY need to steam them. If you use a real straight grained wood - NO KNOTS - cut in 1/8" or less strips you can just bend and glue. I'm bending some very brittle woods cut in 1/16" or 1/32" strips with no breaks, it all depends on the grain and how thick. Heck, enough time, enough steam and enough pressure you can bend 3/4" stuff. Just depends on what you want to do. By the way, I would love to build a steamer, so nothing against that idea.
