What a great show- the bargains were fabulous. I bought about 25 blanks and spent an average of $12.00 per. Great work by Tom-this thing will grow so big soon that we will not need the flyfiishing show . As a whole, rodbuilders are a fun, generous and friendly lot. Great to see everybody from the site.

Amen! It was great!! I did not buy 25 blanks but average price was about $12.00 for the few that I did buy. Learned so many new techniques and facts, just on and on. Finally associating so many names on this site with faces. Best of the show: Putter teaching Ken Preston to marble anything and everything while Ken was changing and sprakling rod colors. The only thing Putter had not started marbling was his beer (as of 4:15 PM). Great Show! Already looking forward to next year.

The guys in the Mudhole booth laughed at me for driving to Charlotte to buy a blank when their shop is only a few miles from my home (smile). Saw some old friends, made some new friends, and bought some stuff I probably didn't need but the price was right. All in all a good time.

Taking pictures was hard because of the hordes of rod buiders in aisle. More rod building products that ever before and the prices were almost rediculous. Who ever heard of $200 graphite surf rod blanks selling for $39 to $49? The amount of top quality graphite spin, casting and fly blanks going from $10 to $25 was beyond belief. And, there were thousands of blanks on hand.
