Just a little informal poll.
Of any rod crafters who have done a lot of bass fishing, if using bass jigs betwee 3/16 ounce to 1/4 ounce, what would be your top three favorite picks for rod blanks and why? Just curious to see what other people are having success on. Cheers! Re: light jigs rod

If sensitvity is critical...
St. Croix Legend Elite and Shikari SHX. So far those blanks are the most sensitive blanks I've been able to find. Re: light jigs rod

Agree on those two and add Rogue MB704 - very light, sensitive and about $30 less expensive. Re: light jigs rod

The Shikari MB803 cut down to whatever length you desire is a good one.

I agree with Matt's suggestions, I really like the PSJ662 Shikari blank for these weight jigs. Built one as a casting rod that threw 1/4 oz spinnerbaits further than any other rod I've ever used or built by a considerable margin, it's also a light, very sensitive, and well balanced blank. St. Croix SCV (Legend Elite) blank. I'd use a 6'6" MF for the power to set the hook on and handle a big bass, even though an MLF might be more sensitive. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
