Who's stealing my RodMaker's?!?

This morning I emailed Tom to ask if my subscription had lapsed since my last issue was volume 7 number 3. I could have sworn I reupped when Tom announced that he wouldn't be sending out any expiration notices. I got behind on my reading and just caught up before Christmas and have been expecting the latest issue to arrive.

Tom promplty replied back that I'm good through volume 9 number 5!!! He said it's probably postal theft and that Minnesota is his worst state for that!!

What!? Postal theft? Unbelieveable. Now I've got to worry about that.

So, just a word of warning for those of you that receive RodMaker...Pay attention to when you're subscription is up and when you should be getting your issues.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Postal theft is rare, but out of thousands and thousands of subscribers, it does happen. The worst state for this has been MN. By far.

Moving from the sealed plastic bags to the false cover has reduced the theft problem by over half. Now, an interested postman can just flip through a copy and then toss it back in the buggy for delivery. Previously, they had to open the bag, which then precluded any further delivery.

Again, it's not a large scale problem. But it does happen.

That's why when I use USPS, I insure everything.

VA's been having problem w/ people following FedEx /UPS trucks and taking the packages left on doorsteps.
