What is the best way to store wood turning stock for future use?
Should turning stock be stored in plastic bags? Is humidity detrimental to kiln dried wood turning stock.? I know that during summer months the basement gets quite humid in St. Louis. thanks John God bless the troops and USA Re: Storing turning stock

The attic is a good place to keep it, as it's generally dry and somewhat warm. You can stand it on end, or if you support it nicely, can stack it lengthwise.
Once you have your wood dried to your satisfaction, you might want to seal the ends with wax. This can keep it from absorbing alot of moisture back in very humid conditions since the end grain is where most moisture will be drawn in. ...................
