Tom,
I was wondering if any of the seminars at the rod convention will be available on video at a later date? My second child is entering college this year there is no way i can swing it. Matbe next year i can find some people from around massachussetts to drive down.

No, sorry. As good as they are in person, they're lousy on tape and there would be no way to recover the huge costs of filming and editing the various seminars. For what we'd have to charge for the tapes, you could attend the show and come out at less expense. Again, sorry.

I tried taping a seminar ONCE. Technically it is very challenging. Lighting is one issue as is sound. If it's only the speaker you can overcome most of the problems that arise but if it is an 'exchange' or questions/answers the problem expands at an astounding rate - multiple cameras, changes in lighting, what to focus on (speaker or viewgraphs/slides). Also you'd likely come away from the taped session with questions that weren't asked by other attendees... It's tough, and as Tom said could run into some dollars for not a really good tape / DVD.

I completely understand the situation in trying to do a video production of one of the formal technical sessions at Charlotte. I do have a special request in case some one has video equipment available. I would like to gain the exclusive rights to market the video of the intitial meeting of Messrs. Puter and Vivona. I have heard the subject of that discussion will thoroughly evaluate sensory overload when viewing intricate patterns, of various wave lengths in threaded and marbled surface media, when viewed by highly medicated rodbuilders. I nomimate the following referees to evaluate and guide this discussion - Kirkman, Crouse and Upton.

If you would like a copy of this video please send me an email response.

Ok --- I'm planning on arrving in Charlotte around 1-2PM, setting up the booth and checking into the Westin afterwards... I'll bring the
video camera for the event. Couple or three PBR's to wash out the road dirt & unwind... get the camera set up. I'll split the cost of
production with you, Bill!
