Well, I've almost finished building my rod wrapping station, and I received my first blank in the mail yesterday! The blank is a 12' 6" two piece monster from Cascade (surf casting). My question is where can you purchase the rubber plug that goes into the top half of the blank (where the two join together)? What do you call this piece? I was also wondering if it's possible to attach a picture to this forum, or do you have to post it somewhere else on the site. Thanks! Re: Another question from somebody new to this

Mix up a little rod bond and stick in in the end about 1/4" Then wipe off the end and stand it up on that end to dry Re: Another question from somebody new to this

Pack the hole with a Styrofoam Peanut or a piece of foam and fill with Rod bond like Bill said above Re: Another question from somebody new to this

I use something called "magic-sculpt" it is an epoxy clay. It comes in lots of colours,
is a two part mixture, and works just like clay. It dries firm and lightweight. It will even dry under water. Just mix some up and push into the hole. I 've had no problems at all with it! -EASY- Can be obtained at better art supply stores or through their web site. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
